Groups will begin in early January 2025
Must complete an intake appointment with Katie prior to the onset of the group. This appointment takes about an hour and can be either on video or in-person at our Oakdale office.
If we do not have enough participants registered the group will be cancelled and all will be notified in advance.
Your teen needs to complete a intake diagnostic appointment prior to beginning the group so we can submit claims to your health insurance. If you choose to use private pay and not your health insurance this intake session may be less than an hour. Register for the intake session by clicking below. Choose the provider “Kaitlyn Matteson”, and then choose Video or Oakdale location, lastly choose teen group intake grades 6-7 or 7-8.
Start date will be announced in mid-December. Groups will vary in size and availability, depending on number of participants registered. If we do not have enough members, the group will be cancelled and registrants will be notified by December 16th.
Official Group times will be published and announced after December 15th. We are hopeful to offer the following Group Times: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM and 5:15 PM - 6:45 PM
Cost: Cost varies depending on insurance and income $0-$150 per session depending on insurance and private pay/sliding fee discount. If your household makes over $250,000 you will not qualify for a discount. Our discounts are very generous.
Dinner and snack will be provided at the group. There is Grub fee for in-person groups: $50 for the 6 weeks, to cover meals and snacks, which will be provided (We are working on outside funding so we can offer meals for free. This fee may be reduced for low income families as well.)
After you register, your teen will complete intake paperwork, followed by a 1 hour intake appointment, either in person or via video. Parents and teens will provide information to help us meet you and your family's needs and ensure your teen feels safe and supported. Groups size varies, but will not be larger than 8 teens per provider or no more than 12 for two providers. Each group will consist of education on the topic, followed by open discussion and sharing of feelings and experiences. Each week your teen will have access to learning material via the group website. Videos and educational online worksheets will be available between sessions. Part of the process will include weekly journal or experimental exercises, in which, your teen will write about their experience or try skills learned, both in group and outside of group. In an effort to improve outcomes, parents will have access to the learning materials your teen is using for group.
